I am allergic to nuts and would like to try your products. Will I be ok if I eat them? Some of our products are made with nuts and others are made with nut flours. Because our facility is not nut free, we cannot guarantee that you won’t have a reaction.
What is the best way to store my tea cakes? The only tea cake that needs to be stored in the refrigerator is the rum cake. The chocolate cake, banana cake and pumpkin cake may also be stored in the refrigerator, but it is not necessary. We have found that the chocolate almond and the chocolate chip tea cakes taste best at room temperature. All of our cakes freeze very well for up to 3 months. If you are not going to serve the cake immediately upon receipt, then simply wrap the entire sealed package in foil and freeze. The foil will help protect the cake against freezer burn. If the package has been opened, wrap the tea cake well in plastic wrap, and then cover with foil.
How many servings can I get out of my tea cake? All of our tea cakes weigh at least 3 pounds, some slightly more. You will easily get 16-18 slices out of each cake. You may want to pre-slice your tea cake, and individually wrap and freeze the slices. This way you can remove the exact number of servings you need each time.
What ingredients do you use in your products? We insist on the best ingredients for all of our products, and it shows. Some of the ingredients we use are: pumpkin puree, banana puree, cocoa powder, semisweet chocolate, semisweet chocolate chips, butter, canola oil, buttermilk, cream cheese, heavy cream, unbleached all purpose flour, almond flour, sugar, brown sugar, powdered sugar, walnuts, pecans, roasted almonds, raisins, peanut butter, assorted spices, rum, vanilla, non fat dry milk and fresh eggs.
What is the best way to store your cookies? As soon as you receive your cookies, it is important to put them into an airtight container to maintain their freshness. Our chocolate chip, double chocolate chip, peanut butter, snicker doodle and oatmeal cookies have a shelf life of 3-5 days. You can wrap these cookies in a damp paper towel and place them in the microwave for a few seconds to soften them again. Our snowy shortbread cookies last the longest…they have a shelf life of up to 2 weeks.
How do you package your items?
Our tea cakes are presented on a gold, scalloped cake board and heat sealed in a large cello bag. We also use cello bags for our cookies and brownie packs. All of our products are properly labeled with their respective ingredients.
What days do you ship? We only ship our items on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays to ensure delivery before the weekend. Our tea cakes and cookies are either shipped overnight or second day air to guarantee that they will arrive in perfect condition. Orders that are received on Saturdays and Sundays are shipped first thing on Monday Morning.
Can I include a note with my items? Yes, we offer a standard gift card to be included with your gift, within which we will hand write a personal note from you.
Can I ship your product to another country? We apologize, but at this time we are only able to ship within the USA
Can I ship to multiple locations? Our Dessert Club was set up to automatically ship to the same address. Our Corporate Gift section can ship to any address. Each order must be entered separately, so if you have more than a few addresses to ship to, it is best to either contact us directly or email us your gift list. We will be more than glad to do the rest for you.
